QR 773 At MAN This Lunchtime

Hi All,

I was photographing a pair of peregrines in Stockport (South Manchester) this lunchtime (around 12.00 noon) when I saw a Qatar 777-300 on finals into Manchester.

I was surprised as I thought that Qatar only operated A330's into MAN

Does anyone know what it was doing at MAN?

Just out of interest, I saw an Airforce Tristar on finals a few minutes before the QR 777. I'm guessing it was Dutch Airforce as I could make out a red/white/blue flag just below the cockpit..

Would be great to hear from some of you knowledgeable people!

QR substituted the A330. Happened the other day as well.


The L1011 was just RAF doing a fleeting visit.

QR doesn't operate the 773, you mean the 77W?


There are major differences between the Boeing 777-300 and Boeing 777-300ER, so don't get confused between both types.

I believe she had a hard landing upon arrival, delayed the return flight by nearly 3 hours. Nice to see her parked in stand.
