I fly every other week CNF-BEL. Since AD started flying the route they have my preference, being it a direct flight, more comfortable cabin configuration (with no midlle seat), live TV, and the possibility of extra leg room (espaço azul) for less then 10 dollars (20 reais). The mentioned flight is constantly full, both ways, even on weekends, and price is not the only explanation, because the tickets are sometimes higher than JJ and G3.
It seems to me that AD has the right ingridients to keep growing on the brazilian domestic market because it has a superior procuct. In my opinion, they will take JJ and G3 passangers soon, if those last two don´t upgrade their products, specially the enterteinment...
What do you guys think on this matter?

I think so. It is the same way B6 was able to start up and be successful in such a competitive market, they simply offered a superior product just like AD does now. Although they are better than G3 and JJ, O6 also offers quite a good product, I try to fly them whenever I'm flying CGH-SDU although I usually end up on G3 due to pricing. If AD flew CGH-SDU I would certainly give them a try...

Never been on 06, but have heard good coments on their service, specially on the Airbus fleet. What really motivated me to start this thread is the lack of response from G3 and JJ (specially G3!!!) on the AD competition. Let´s wait and see...

LAN is currently performing onboard wireless entertainment test on one A-320 a/c and is "evaluating wireless IFE technology with the purpose of including it on its fleet within South America in the coming years."

If LATAM is pleased with these tests and results, the IFE wireless system will be introduced on TAM's fleet of narrow-body a/c as both LAN and TAM will offer the same products on their narrow-body fleet of A-320 family a/c. Regardless, TAM is currently experiencing strong LFs on domestic routes with-in Brazil due to capacity reductions implemented by LATAM in the domestic market and remains the dominant carrier in the Brazilian domestic market.

JJ already has some kind of on board connectivity on some of the newer domestic planes:

It's not wi-fi, but satellite mobile connection for smartphones. Tablets with 3G connection can benefit of this.

Can't tell how prohibitive the cost is...

It is expensive and it doesn´t always work. My father trying to ring my mother and the call was disconnected in a few seconds. He didn´t get to say what he wanted and even than had to pay 50 dollars for the tentatives.

I flew Azul on 4 legs in Espaço and I almost went into shock it was so good. Compared to TAM or GOL of course. To fly to Brazil in business or first from a far away land, then continue on to a 3 hour JJ flight is shocking.
I too hope that Azul impacts the market and that they obtain more routes from major cities to other major cities. Especially São Paulo to/from Rio.
