HOT AA Airbus 319 To LAX 09/09/13

Mon Sep 09, 2013 1:15 pm

Attention Anutters in the LAX area

I know it is a little late in the game but just heard from my supervisor that we are having one of our new A319's flying into LAX for internet and various other systems testing. It will be at the hangar on the trim rack around 0730 Monday morning.

I saw it at DFW yesterday when I was taking the bus to the terminal. They've been doing quite a few flights recently and I have to say the plane actually looks pretty good in person.

Thanks for that! Looks like I'll have to take a spotting trip to LAX. I can't wait to see it in person!

I'll see if I can grab some pictures when I head out to the ramp later...I'm assuming it will be stored in the west hangar?

It been doing proving runs between DFW-CLT. It's been parking at the C concourse in CLT . US Has been assisting in ground ops training . Also US has been helping AA in flight ops training as well since US has a large fleet of Airbus A/C. AA has adopted US's procedures .

The '19 was doing pattern work on Labor Day in KICT. Odd to see a 319 doing touch and go's.

We have seen it TWICE now here in LIT! Two weeks ago, N9002U was doing some proving runs and made about a ten minute stop at the end of our runway while the pilots changed seats (that's what the pilot said on my Facebook page). Then, last Thursday (5 Sept), N8001N diverted here to LIT while it was traveling from DFW to MEM. She was here for almost five hours so I was able to get A LOT of shots of her! I've submitted two to here but my history with submitting is not so good. I have them all on Facebook only right now. A few are on my Instagram (don't judge me) gallery.

Not a bad arrangement for AA, especially if the merger doesn't come to pass.

Interesting to see a retired UA 737-222 registration take to the skies again.

Interesting.

Similarly sized plane but oh so much more capable than the original.

Will the A319 be making a tour of the hubs the way N908NN did?
