easyJet has released its new Summer 2014 timetable, which presents the first results of the FlyBe LGW slot purchase.

LGW - AMS increases to 43x flights/week (up by 7x/week) to a maximum of 7x departures/day on Monday & Fridays.

Are these frequencies a new record for easyJet routes?

Wow that is a hell of a lot of capacity! Could some of these be slot warmers until they launch new destinations?

Nice to see an earlier departure EX AMS. I used the old BA AMS-LGW early departure until they canned it a few years ago.

Quoting factsonly (Thread starter):
LGW-BCN is up to 6x/day

Yet more capacity on LON-BCN, I reckon that makes it close to 30 daily (BA, U2, FR, DY, ZB, VY). I wonder how many more daily flights that market can stand?
Flown in: A20N,A21N,A30B,A306,A310,A319,A320,A321,A332,A333,A343,A346,A359,A388,BA11,BU31,(..56 more types..),VC10,WESX

At LGW British Airways has suffered increasingly from EZY competition. BA used to operate upto 5/6x per day LGW-AMS, but has recently cut back to 3x/day.

For 2014 BA.com show that BA plans to continue to operate LGW-AMS 3x/day with 4x/day on Fridays only:

LGW-AMS - Summer 2014:
dep. 06.10 - EZY
dep. 07.55 - BA
dep. 08.10 - EZY
dep. 10.25 - EZY - Monday & Friday only
dep. 10.50 - BA
dep. 14.25 - EZY
dep. 16.00 - BA
dep. 16.30 - EZY
dep. 18.00 - BA - Fridays only
dep. 18.35 - EZY
dep. 20.00 - EZY

Besides LGW-AMS increase they're also increasing SEN-AMS from 2x to 3x daily on weekdays (except Tue). Meanwhile LIS-AMS is not as popular as expected and will be reduced from 6x to 3x weekly and flights will switch from mornings to evenings.

How many nighstops will LGW do in Summer 2014? I've counted AMS, CPH and INV. Any others? All other early morning arrivals into LGW are operated by crew and aircraft based at their respective bases (EDI, GLA, BFS, SXF, GVA, MXP... any others?)

Quoting factsonly (Thread starter):
LGW-BCN is up to 6x/day
LGW-AGP is up to 6x/day
LGW-NCE is up to 5x/day

All three of these routes BA has recently restarted with multiple daily frequencies... maybe easy is introducing a volume/price strategy to fight against them.
Next flights: LGW-LBA-LGW, LHR-SIN-SYD, SYD-BKK-LHR, LGW-GRO, GRO-CIA, CIA-MAD, MAD-LGW

TP, KL , U2 and HV all compete on this route.
From LIS - FCO , OVD , VLC and VCE will all be terminated by March 2014

BFS is getting 2 new routes to JER and BOD.
OTP is being restarted from LGW

FR seems to be ending STN-BCN from the 30th March 2014, unless it's not loaded yet.
No other flights to BCN from STN

4/5x Weekly LGW-BCN with DY

6xWeekly LGW-BCN with ZB

It may be interesting to note that the route LGW-AMS set a new monthly pax. record in 2013, when 72.000 pax travelled in June 2013. This was partly the result of a football match Chelsea-Benfica that month.

The annual record for the route was set in 2012 with 677.000 pax/year. This record is very likely to be broken again in 2013, as new monthly records have been set in nearly every month of this year.
