EK To Stockholm, How's It Going?

Tue Sep 24, 2013 7:37 am

I am a bit curios. How has the DXB-ARN route preformed for EK so far? I know that they announced it as a Boeing 777-300ER route, but when I've looked at Flightradar I've seen that they use a 777LR instead, what's the reason for that?

September is the absolute low season for Sweden-Asia. I believe that is the reason why they decided to downsize to the 77L. So far, the flights have been far from full, but that's to be expected with a new airline starting flights in low season.

I would also add that flying via DXB is not really the most 'natural' route from Sweden to Asia. It surprised me that they started operations with a 77W, whilst the shift to the 77L is quite logical for a new flight (in low season)

While these flights might be far from full in the cabins, I can only imagine they are packed with cargo in the belly

I would assume it only makes sense for SE asia. Narita is almost the same distance from DXB as ARN!
When in doubt, one B pump off
