Not sure if this has been discussed before but BA will delay the introduction of its second daily A380 LHR-LAX by a month. Its now schedule to begin on April vs May 2014

How are BA getting on with their A380s? Does anyone know?

Forgive me, but I'm confused. How is BA starting the second daily A380 LHR-LAX in April (instead of May) a delay?

It's poor phrasing by the OP. The flight was scheduled to start in April, but will now start in May.

I understand from people at BA that the A380 is going fine I believe the main problem is moving the aircraft on the ground. I have seen it parked up in T5 up to 4 hours after its arrival before towing off.

Well I just caught it from LAX to LHR on Friday in Club World on upper deck and it was a great experience: the cabin and flight crew seemed really motivated and proud of the new aircraft and their on board services and facilities. A few bugs here and there, but nothing that won't be ironed out soon. A very good fit at T5 with 3 airbridges, so too at Tom Bradley at LAX. Better lounge now at LAX too.
When all's said and done, there'll be more said than done.

Is this an infrastructure problem, or one of poor planning?

The ground crews at LHR are very use to maneuvering the A380... There are plenty of flights a day and quite a bit of remote stand to terminal towing...

I think the problem is that BA ground crew have little experience with the aircraft, which may be causing issues.
