Looks like he was servicing a Miami Air charter when he was hit.

May he rest in Peace!

This shows how dangerous it is to work on tarmac. It gets too crowded when everything is focused to get the flight out!
Keep flying, because the sky is no limit!

Looks like the Aircraft parked was the NHL's NY Islanders Charter from Minnesota into Boston.

Sad. RIP.

Also to the man driving the truck. It was reported that he was over come with grief and transported to a local hospital. More than likely he knew the man that lost his life, and it is a very difficult thing to cause the loss of life but to have that happen to someone you know and mostly have a relationship with even if it is only at work. My prayers for all affected by this accident.
I miss the 60's & 70's when you felt like a guest on the plane not cattle like today

Herb was from my hometown. Never met him, but he seems like a stand-up guy:

So sad. If he was a former commercial pilot, maybe someone in the a.net community knew him?

I'm sorry but if you are reversing a vehicle you are 100% responsible for doing so carefully so as you do not harm anyone.

I'm sure the driver agrees.
You know the gear is up and locked when it takes full throttle to taxi to the terminal.
