I had the pleasure of heading down a motorway near Cologne/CGN recently , when the GSS/BA 748 came in for a landing, that was one Magic looking bird on finals in those BA Colours with the mightly engines! Hope Mainline (BA) puts some thought to all the poor GSS Crews that served them well for years!

I wonder what this cancellation will do for Atlas. For a while, they had a tough time finding work for the 744Fs they got back from GSS when the 748Fs arrived on property. If anything, the timing might not be too bad, between the disappearance of Evergreen, the bankruptcy of World's parent and the expected split in Cargolux's fleet...

Second that. If 3 and 1/2 there is to be in Europe, it clearly is DHL, TNT, UPS and FedEx, and even then, 1/2 is a bit generous for FedEx given than it has less than half of UPS' volume, air or ground.

He probably said PAC as in Polar Air Cargo but I doubt they have the cash as even Atlas fly their own metal on some scheduled Polar routes.
