Just as I was starting to actually come round to the new livery on the A330s, I see this picture. It really does look bad, I used to have so much admiration and respect for Iberia soi this is heartbreaking!

I'm not impressed. I wonder what IAG was thinking when they developed this new livery??
It would be much improved if they painted the belly either red or orange, if not just to mellow out the euro white.... Way too plain, talk about "bare bones". This is it!

It's not horrible. It's a little bland but it looks good! I like the tail and I think it'll look better on the narrowbodies where the tail:fuselage ratio is a little less. I also think the font is a bit awkawrd, like it wants to be Italic but doesn't want to fully (if that is imaginable   ).

But seriously, replace the word IBERIA in the logos on the engines and viola, you have AA's logo!

I just feel that people who haven't seen the old livery will like this one, but some people are a bit nostalgic about the old one, which is completely understandable, are letting their emptions influence their opinion.

An orange and yellow cheat line along the fuselage leading up to the tail would've been a much better livery. this one is simply awful. feels like something is missing. same goes for LH, AF, all white except the tail. The question that needs to be asked is who approved this design and who came up with it?

Somewhat of a let down. Seems like someone would have suggested some swoops of red and orange at the front of the aircraft?

Really looks like they put the new livery into the hands of accountants!

Every new livery takes time to grow and be accepted considering we are so used to the cheat line livery.
I didn't like the new AA but now I love it, same goes for TP. I like like the new IB livery

AF's and LH's liveries are classic and well-designed. The new IB livery, on the other hand, looks like an obvious attempt to create something "modern". The old IB livery was a classic and seemed to have been designed to convey a feeling about Spain rather than just something new and "up to date."

What I think makes the whole bland livery worse is the font and positioning of the titles. It gives an impression that just slapped something on to get on with business. AF and LH have a much better font and placement as well, as for the tail, its just orange and yellow..I know its the colours of the Spanish flag, but it just doesn't seem like any effort was put into it, just a swoop here and there. As much as the AA livery was hated, I like it so much better than the previous one which was getting really outdated, especially on the unpolished dirty aircraft. The new one took me a few weeks to get to, but its just different which is good!

Just confirms that it is a generic livery for computer generated airport terminal mockups or a movie. An overwhelming and oppressive sensations of blah.

the livery basically is flat - it is like an unfinished paint job that all of a sudden they needed the plane for an immediate flight that it to be pulled out of a hangar.

It would have saved the day if they had a monogram of IB in a symmetrical pattern imbedded on the tail - it would have come out classier

I'm going to look on a bright side and say my sympathies are with the graphic designer/s and the calibre of the briefing which he, she or they received ... sometimes the outcome is less to do with the designer's own craft or abilities and more so the client's own imposed constraints or lack of vision. That said, with a six-letter name like IBERIA - two characters of which are single-stroke I - why would you choose a Roman, call-caps, stretched-width sans-serif font with no visible tracking or kerning between the letters and then splash it in red on a Euro-white background? Not even going near the 'dishcloth-wipe' across the fin ...

Simply insignificant, does not show any personality and the font used is way too basic...
Tail design is not bad but with so much white around the design should be more balanced in the body, at least with a bigger IBERIA title or some other design (MAS is a good example)

Just my 2c...

I liked the AA livery almost from the get-go (the tail is a wonderful re-interpretation of the US flag), but there is really NOTHING positive to be said about this, apart from being new, and this is what, almost a year since it was first revealed on this site? As others have said, it is bland, bland bland. It is screaming for something to give it some sort of lift or identity.

Oh Iberia what have you done . . .

Still, I live in hope that this will be dropped or modified quickly, like the Aer Lingus LCC scheme ten years ago and the BA World Tails in the 90s.

Ugh...what's the deal with European airlines and eurowhite? One less color and it's a Finnair lookalike.

The old livery, though still a bit bland, looks way better. I know the airline wants to renew its image and it seems to be portraying it, but just a tad more color could do. Maybe bring the tail colors further into the fuselage...

Let me try this again( my previous post vanished).

The aircraft does look bland. Both the tail and the fuselage. As suggested earlier in this discussion, possible due to the extra white surface area compares to the 330 (which I fine bland as well).

It would have been beneficial to consider placing a gold crown back on the tail, and using Large titles like Ethiopian and Emirates to kill off some white. Engines could have been red. I don't think we need to see the logo three times on each side (2x engines)

Those are classics. They were rebranded with few changes. Same with AZ. You could even say AF was really not rebranded because that livery dates from the late 70s. Very minimal changes were made. I don´t see why IB didn´t go for something along those lines. It had a lot of potential for something like that.

I seriously hope they do improve their service. They have a lot of competition nowadays on their bread and butter routes that they didn´t have before. Let´s hope it becomes much better than the livery.

Same here. It just doesn´t speak to me. I remember from my childhood watching the IB 742 arriving in the afternoon at MEX. You could see it and notice it no matter where you were on the city and it looked sexy. And people with no interest on airliners noticed it.

I personally love the current TAP livery. If you think about it, most airlines in that era (80's/90s or so) went with some sort of cheatline. So, to me they were all boring then too. Classic does not necessarily mean good to me.

I love change, but this one's pushing the mimimalist agenda. It is what it is, I guess. We will just have to hdeal with it (does not mean we can't complain).
