According to flightaware, none of SU's 77Ws have flown in at least a couple of weeks. Are they having issues with them or is flightaware acting up? Any info is appreciated!  

FlightAware is having some types of problems, FR24 playback shows VP-BGB flying to BKK today:

I'm noticing when I track JAL's 787s, they aren't showing all the flights either.

If they're operating routes to parts of the world where Flightaware has very little coverage, they may not appear.

Schedules show 77W operating 11 x week SVO-BKK-SVO which would require almost 2 77Ws. Not sure what other routes they're operating.

I initially noticed that SVO-JFK is apparently operating with a333s now, whereas it's usually one a333 and one 77W.

Right now SVO to Bangkok, Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Phuket, Shanghai and Vladivostok, so only eastwards from Moscow.

FR24 shows VP-BGB currently (1430Z) inbound to SVO from BKK
VP-BGC also operated BKK-SVO earlier today
VP-BGD operated PVG-SVO earlier today

Which explains why none of them showed up on Flightaware.

Your observation is interesting, it appears that Transatlantic routes that were B773 are now back to A333.
For example, AFL100 right now SVO-JFK is A333 VQ-BQY has been A333 for a couple of weeks now.
They appear to have shuffled the 773s onto other routes such as BKK.
Last year I saw B773s on the Atlantic daily.

I noticed the SU 77W also operates to GVA at the weekend.

The amount of Russians traveling to Western Europe on the weekends is insanely high. GVA has always been strong and sees a ton of charters apart from regular service. Maybe there was some sort of event that warrants the upgrade that day.

Lots of ski traffic this time of year. Saturdays between January and Easter are the busiest days of the entire year at GVA airport. Sometimes you can barely move. This Saturday (Jan. 25) over 30 charters, mostly from the UK, are scheduled to arrive/depart GVA, in addition to the usual scheduled flights.
