Beluga Headed To SE Europe Or Middle East

Tue Mar 11, 2014 10:19 am

Does anyone know where this Beluga is headed and why it's so far outside its normal turf?

Beluga's are available for cargo charters, usually the "white" beluga which is No. 4 at the moment..

It could simply haul some spare parts for a damaged aircraft. It happened at least once, to my knowledge, that a Beluga had to transport a replacement tailplane for an A320-family aircraft in North America.

Beluga's can be used for charter flights indeed.

I remember in the late 80s, a Beluga came to MIR with an entire horizontal stabilizer for a damaged Germania B737-300.
