Yep! A nice add by UA! I think we will see more growth soon, I am thinking we might see IAH-PVG on the 789 soon.

this is not "new" domestic service... it's a reinstatement of a service Continental did YEARS ago... albeit on an ExpressJet ERJ-145XR back then.

Well, at 4 hours each way... too bad the new UA didn't do something nice for the people and at least give them a 170/175..... a LITTLE more creature comfort than a CR7... and well, a second bathroom if nothing else.

More scarily ... it's a new *domestic* route from IAH, of all places

I would've thought that the DEN hub would be perfect spot to handle places like BOI instead of having a painfully long CR7 flight to IAH.

It is and that is why after this BOI-IAH starts, UA will run 5x BOI-DEN (SuMoThFr) 3x Sa. With mainline 2x Mo-Fr, 1x SaSu.

Seems to be odd time to start it, but maybe a lot (or some) connections to Mexico will keep it going.
Riddle: Which lasts longer, a start-up airline or a start-up football league?

Boise is, coincidentally, where United was first started.
