JAX Center?

Tue Apr 15, 2014 2:53 pm

I have a teacher. Her nephew is ATC at JAX Center. He works in Hillard,FL. The Frequency he works is 126.35. It would not come up on liveatc, would there be any other way to listen to it?

An ARTCC is split up into "Areas" or "Specialties". So he'll work anywhere between 5 to 8 different sectors. I was able to locate a feed with that frequency. If you go to LiveATC.net and search "ZJX" on the top left. The first feed to pop up is called "ZJX Daytona Beach" and has the frequency you listed. You can also type under the frequency search below that 126.350 and it's the 2nd feed result. But like I said.. He would work many other sectors. So if you can narrow down what Area within ZJX that sector that's using 126.35 is in then you can narrow down the rest of the sectors he works and there very well may be feed coverage of those other sectors.

1 sector, 1 (active) frequency. Most center sectors are not available to listen to online, but some are.

The sector you are referring to, is 58. which is commonly combined up with 57 (134.0) They work most east coast MCO arrivals and departures and southbound overflights below FL340. The area is South.

126.35 is located at the St. Augustine RCAG. That's about 10 miles WSW of St. Aug. 134.0 is located at the Daytona Beach airport. And yes, they stay combined a lot.

If you are anywhere near those two areas you may be able to hear the controller side aswell as the aircraft.
I don't understand everything I don't know about this.
