The cheatline looks thicker and the logo on the engines look darker, buts that's probably because of the computer rendering.

Nice subtle adjustment--it definitely suits the shape of the E190 better. I never really noticed before, but by comparison, the cheatline in the old livery hits the nose in an awkward way.

This; the old was a little unsatisfactory on the E190.

And I think it will have the same positive effect on the 787, should look great.

Looks good on the Embrear. Don't think it would be an improvement on the widebodies though.
But the 787 has a sharp nose also so I think it would look good on them also.

Agreed. The change isn't necessary on the widebodies because the cheatline already hits the center of the nose.

It's a nice idea to make subtle adjustments to your livery and make planes look as beautiful as they can. I wonder how many variations they could have without losing too much brand uniformity.

This change also makes it look hipper and younger, which is probably what they wanted to achieve.

I am split about this update, I like the Cityhopper being moved up after KLM but I don't like the vawe to get the blue lower down on the nose. Do any other KLM aircraft have anything but a strait cheatline?

It's nice and fresh and suits the low nose well. I'm relieved they actually put more blue in the scheme.

The only thing I'm wondering is where are they going to put the "Royal Dutch Airlines" and "The Flying Dutchman" text on the new livery. I know that Cityhopper aircraft don't sport these titles but the mainline aircraft do. So how is it going to look on the 787s or are they getting rid of them altogether?

I like it (not love, just like). I just wonder why KLM's branding department felt it necessary to make such a change for only this fleet type.

Yes, it "looks better" on that model, but developing and applying a new livery costs money. So why did they do it and just on this model?

It looks a bit lopsided drooping in front of the wing and then not drooping again behind the wing. If it were up to me, I'd just drop the entire blue cheatline down low, much like NW did on their "Airlink" livery with the red.

Well well well oh well. The "new" livery makes the Embraer just a little bit more attractive from a photogenetic point of view. Please do not apply on the bigger KLM planes.

CP Air was well-liked in the Netherlands when they introduced their predominantly orange livery in 1968. AMS was their major European gateway with nonstop flights from AMS to as many as 7 Canadian cities over the years.

Maybe they'll do something similar to TUI Group and United (787s) and just make the top of the white swish, keeping everything else the same. That would be enough for me!

Haha for once I was close!

I love the new look. It was just what this livery needed, as it was starting to look a little bit dated. Too bad it's only for the Embraers and 787s.

From a balance point of view, the cheatline should swoosh down under the rear doors instead of being straight behind the wing. (IMO)

I like the new look. Appears a bit more modern. But my thoughts are...why amend it at all if that's all you're going to do? I mean Air France did more in it's latest revision. In this case, obviously they aren't going to repaint the rest of the fleet (until they need it). And this isn't really any change to the brand. So who's going to even notice it? Other than everyone on Anet, I mean. I don't know....just wondering what the thinking was behind this move.

I agree, I was thinking more like #48 with the grey replaced by orange.

Or the new with dark blue stripe being double the size and orange + spaced a little from the blue on top.

The curve should end in front of the emergency exits to look right but nevertheless this proves that the livery mod on the ERJ doesnt really work on bigger planes.

I think it wouldn't look as nice as a curve up towards the tail, but I like the new livery, smart yet keeping the traditional. Like many others had said, it's a very well known livery, and keeps KLM stands out from others.
