BR New 77W Air-to-Air Video Released

Something I thought people on A.net may be interested in:
Official air-to-air video of B-16718, the newest BR Boeing 777-300ER with the "Wi-Fi bump" and the revised livery without Chiense titles.

The airline did the same thing for its first 777-300ER, B-16701 (used to wear the "Rainbow" Boeing X EVA Air hybird livery).

It's interesting how not every airlines choose to do the air-to-air video. Airlines such as CZ, CA, SU...all chose to not have the video taken. (unless they haven't publicised them yet)

Yes it is! Can't wait for the 777X's reveal. 777 boosts the most graceful lines in aviation IMO.

Very graceful aircraft. Recently flew an AA 777-300ER from Dallas to London. Smoothest flight I've been on yet.

By the by, their IFE is great. So many films, games and TV shows to choose from, I ran out of time before I had worked though half of my favourites list!

According to the text on the page, it's a LearJet 25 with an Arriflex Alexa camera on an Astrovision system ( http://www.claylacy.com/astrovision ).

The two main players in air to air photo for commercial airplanes are Clay Lacy and Wolfe Air -- both use Lear's. Generally the flights last about an hour and a half +/-, have both photo and video components and take place at 15,000ft 250kts (747 a little faster to get the correct deck angle). UAL for their first 777 did two days worth of air and two days of ground maneuvering photo/video work for the 15-20 seconds you might see in a commercial. They wanted lots of shots with the dark blue/grey livery because that was going to be around "forever" -- not quite.

I love EVA Air, their business class and premium economy product so far the best and on the same level with CX and GA.

I agree 100% - the 77W is my fav plane... The EVA Air 77W was the first ever 777-300ER I flew on (B-16705).

It's a pretty plane, graceful and functional. She's pure Boeing.

But nothing will ever be as beautiful as the 747-400. Not even the 747-8i.
