No one I know (including myself) who has been on AA's A321T, in any cabin, would have preferred to be on a 762. It's a gorgeous and comfortable airplane--don't knock it until you've tried it. Don't get me wrong, I love widebodies and wish we still had more of them flying transcons, but the A321 is a step forward, not backwards.
I was speechless the first time I boarded the AA 321T. The amount of aisle space in the First and Business Class cabins is very noticeable and makes the cabin feel spacious for a narrowbody. The hard product - in all three classes - is industry leading, especially for a domestic U.S. flight. AA arguably now offers the best trans-con soft and hard product.
Now I wonder if the 321T could be put on any other high yielding AA routes. DCA-LAX perhaps?
