I can't figure out how to paste a pic or in this case, a graphic of the huge storm headed for DEN right now. The storm is massive with large hail and tornado warnings. How many planes are on the ground on a typical weekday afternoon about 14:30 at DEN?
Hoping the storm takes a slight turn and misses DEN, but it looks ugly now....

We got a lot of hail here in Stapleton. Sirens going off and on.
It seems to be tracking more east now, on the southern boundary of the airport. So, I think it'll miss mostly.

I am in DTC and it blew over. My office faces West and it was scary coming in. Now blue skies with some light clouds.

As far as I can tell, there was a confirmed tornado out of this cell NEAR (south of?) the airport; it was apparently rain-wrapped so there was no clear view of the funnel cloud itself. (Close call!)

Looking at flightaware, I am guessing COS had a fun afternoon with diversions

It looks like COS, PUB and FNL all received diversions due to this storm. Same story yesterday with Fort Collins seeing 4 Frontier Airbus aircraft and COS with a LH 747 among others.

FedEx just had two 757s downed indefinitely with heavy hail damage at BIL on Sunday. Today I'm hearing possibly two more 757s downed at DEN. The FX fleet is certainly taking a beating.

To bring this back on topic - looks like Frontier had some issues with damaged aircraft as well. I was supposed to fly N912FR "Trixie the Red Fox Cub" tomorrow, but it looks like this aircraft has been damaged by the storm.

After seeing this (after the fact) I called my daughter in Parker, CO. She's a SkyWest F/A. She said that 40 flights diverted from DEN to COS. It went north and south of Parker and after hitting DEN, kind of turned NE.
