Saw an Aeronaves TSB CV-580 today at KYIP. Can't find any listing that they have a 580. Might anyone know a possible reg and SN?
It was NOT a CV-640.

Are you sure it wasn't an actual 240/340? When I was flying in Mexico in the late 1990's, there were still lots of CV240's and 340's flying with their original radial engines, but converted to freighters. If you bought avgas for a small plane in places like CUU or CJS, you got the old 100/130 octane grade back then (dyed green) to keep the old radials happy 
The Mexican Convairs would regularly show up at ELP, too, where they would usually transfer the load to a US operator going to places like Michigan (they usually ferried automotive parts that were made in Mexico).

In the USAF we used 115/145 avgas. Interesting difference.
Qualified on Concorde/B707/B720/B727/B737/B747/B757/B767/B777/DC-8/DC-9/DC-10/A319/A320/A330/MD-88-90

Hmm I haven't seen any 580's for them, lots of 640's though.
Now they are coming all the way up to Detroit, buying up DC-9's too.

If the plane was all white with a Mexican registration it was Air Tribe. They have two CV-580s: XA-UPL and XA-TRB.

They just flew 207US out of YIP when I was getting freight there the other day, maybe that's the replacement. I was chatting with a USAJet mech later that day on the road and he couldn't believe they got it out of there in the state it was in. It sounded like it had sat for years and was pretty much scrap but they bought it and cobbled it back together enough to take it to Mexico.
I heard the MD80 rumor as well. It's not quite a 727 replacement but it's going to be interesting. I don't even think JUS has gone ahead with more than 1 at the moment.

Does TSM have it out flying yet? Haven't seen it just yet.
