Busy Week At XNA

So with the Wal-Mart stockholder's meeting taking place this week, XNA seems to be seeing some ramped up service, especially from DL...

According to my flight tracker, Tuesday (6/3) ATL-XNA will see 3 MD90s and 4 CR9s; MSP-XNA will see a CRJ and an E75 (usually 2 CRJs)... DTW-XNA sees an MD90 in addition to the usual CR7... CVG-XNA will be a CR9 instead of the usual CRJ...

AA/US and UA seem to be keeping things at pretty normal levels...

Feel free to correct anything I've got wrong here, of course!

Busier traffic than last year. I worked at XNA on a TDY and all we saw were CRJs, MD88s, and 1 E175. Good to see alot of traffic flowing to the airport. Also good to see them working more mainline now thanks to the 717.

AA / Eagle always open up a lot of TDY for Walmart week. Instead of adding capacity, usually the fares just go way up. I remember some telling me they were IDB golds and platinums on some of the ERJs to DFW they were so oversold / overweight.

Surprised AA didn't have increased service on Sun/Mon. I know on Friday and Saturday they have increased service this week with 3-MD80s from DFW and a 757...and I believe they have a MD80 coming from ORD as well which is very unusual.

I flew AA into TUL on a 757-200 today. I heard a Walmart greeter say there were 113 Walmart Associates on the plane, of 188 seats.... During boarding I said something to my wife about at least 50, I was way off. There were three charter buses and the associates said they were being bussed to the Bentonville area.
