Strange.. UA website is showing seat power available for all 747 economy seats: http://www.united.com/web/en-US/cont...nflight/aircraft/747/default.aspx. This isn't true, is it?

One or two aircraft have power the rest are being rotated through to add power ports. If you check the amenities tab before your flight on UAL.com it will tell you whether that 747 has power or not.

From the UA Express totals, some comments/questions.

Are 12 Chautauqua aircraft still operating - I have only 4 in operation- 266/275/284/294. 266 is globe and 284 is house. My source may be wrong.

Mesa - I have 501/503/514/516/518/519/522 [total seven of 20].

ASA - what is the third unpainted? - I have N826AS and N909EV.

SkyWest CRJ200 - what are the four unpainted aircraft?

Watching disposal lists, Silver is down to 6 aircraft, all in UA globe - 535/536/546/551/556/557.

SkyWest EMB120 has a total of 44 aircraft : 15 in globe/11 in UA blue and 18 in house. Is it unlikely that the 18 in house will be painted? Thus the figure should read 33/44.

Thanks for the detail and questions. Correct me where needed.

Looking at FlightAware all look gone 3/31 or flying DL routes

Mesa - I have 501/503/514/516/518/519/522 [total seven of 20].

I don't show CRJ700 N502MJ painted, no photos on internet

Quoting qfatwa (Reply 6):

You are correct, only 2 unpainted. I show 66 of 68 in Globe - there are many aircraft floating between AA/AS/DL/UA in house, if you look at the CRJ200 page. https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/express-fleet-tracking - go to CRJ200 at top of page

All according to FlighAware aren't flying for UA, if flying at all.

The last remaining UA Blue is N655UA, which is not slated to be retired this Fall - expect it to be painted in Globe soon.

Use the website.
Starting three days out, you can look up your flight by flight number, and under "amenities," it will tell you what the aircraft offers.
The 739 fleet is a mishmash right now... some oldies have satellite TV for a fee. Some Newer ones have a sky interior, but a dark cabin. Some have new seats. It's kind of a mess.
The 753 fleet comes in two varieties- those with overhead TV screens every few rows (seem to the the ex-ATA birds) and some have satellite tv at every seat (seem to be the ex-CO birds).

Wifi is a mixed bag, fleet wide.

Thanks for the feedback, I had been referencing the quoted pages as well. Should the partially painted list look like this:

Based on the fleet list pages referenced, only two CRJ-200 aircraft unpainted are allocated to ExpressJet, so this group of 69 SkyWest aircraft should move to the lower COMPLETED section
which should then read :>>>>PAINT United Express - Express COMPLETED = 373

Quick question - I noticed from the fleet site that one of the GUM-based 73G's went into HKG for Mx. Is the plan to have all the GUM-based 737's updated to E+? I see that one has, but I couldn't find any mention of it on these threads...

N24736 must have been done in GUM either during 2/27-3/4 or 4/25-5/5 visits. Don't think HKG will do E+.

I count
CRJ-200 ASA, now Expressjet (12/15) 820AS, 825AS, 827AS-830AS, 832AS-836AS, 877AS. (826AS/909EV in United Blue)

EMB-120 SkyWest (33*/44) 221SW, 223SW, 229SW, 233SW-235SW, 237SW, 284YV, 290SW-292SW, 294SW-295SW,298SW 562SW-563SW, 568SW - (* includes 18 in SkyWest House Paint plus [566/567/569/578/579/580/582/583/584/585/586SW in United blue (11]).

CRJ-200 SkyWest (69*/69) COMPLETED (*Includes N874AS in House Colors, Up to 20 other SkyWest House units may float between American/AS/DL/UA)

NOTE:
Regarding Silver, who serve CLE and IAD. Maybe too early to pull Silver's aircraft. United's not completely pulled from CLE to non-UA hubs. The online pdf timetable shows numerous non-hub services under UAX service.
BOS - EXPRESSJET & TRANS STATES
MDT - SILVER
CHS - EXPRESSJET SA WEEKENDS ONLY
DFW - EXPRESSJET
DUJ - SILVER
FKL - SILVER
JHW - SILVER
MKE - EXPRESSJET
LGA - EXPRESSJET, SHUTTLE AMERICA

DCA - EXPRESSJET

And, this mainline service to non-UA hubs

Had two legs today, one on N569UA and the second on N478UA...have to say the new Airbus interiors are a huge step up, especially compared with the old 752s.

The last remaining UA Blue is N655UA, which is not slated to be retired this Fall - expect it to be painted in Globe soon.

Not on the paint schedule and think she is slated for retirement in Apr 2015.

that make sense - so we have a widebody retro paint scheme for a while - saves money and time in the shop.

Why is United going so slow on installing the Split Scimitars? Almost all other customers - AeroMexico, Alaska, Arke, Southwest, Sunwing, Thomson, TUIfly (both German and Swedish operators), and WestJet - have at least three planes already retrofitted and none have as large a fleet as UA.

Gearing up. Takes time to schedule and get kits in place. July should see 9 737-800s getting them. First 737-900ER is getting theirs STCed right now, should start seeing -900ERs start getting them in August. Then the -700s start getting theirs in September. As of September 2014, there are 10-15 737 NGs scheduled to get their Scimitars per month after that.

Hey guys, quick question- on our 787 fleet schedule the next 787-8 is listed as ship 911, N49911 however, on the boeing 787 delivery schedule it's showing N28912.... Any info? Are we skipping the number 911 for obvious reasons?

Yes, that is exactly my understanding. Having a Ship 911 wouldn't have been an issue for CO, but as UA it's quite understandable to skip that number.

Any 744 news?
Fleet site still only shows one with Y power, wondering if there's been any further developments, or if they're just using that single one as an excuse to show it present for the plane on their site.

But internally we refer to them by ship numbers. In this case it would be ship 911. Wouldn't go over well with crew.

I saw this mentioned a few months ago and UA was taking some a.net flack (In know, hard to believe) for not having 220 electrical jacks on the aircraft. FYI, I was on a mid-lav 737 last week and it actually had universal plugs that worked with 110 and 220.
