Do you know anything about the new livery of KLM?
Has it been actually updated?
I have seen only 1 Embraer in it and no other aircrafts...
Any info?

It's only for the Cityhopper fleet.
First fokker will have the livery in December I heard. slow pace but eventually all will have them (the cityhoppers)

Looks to be a very minor change: they moved the cheatline lower near the front/cockpit. Is that all, or am I missing anything else?

I don't think it's an improvement. It destroys the clean horizontal lines of the aircraft and when you look at the aircraft from the front, the dipping cheatline makes it look like it's frowning and unhappy.

It doesnt make sense to give the Fokkers the livery.
If painting the livery is not based on the nose-shape of the aircraft and also not on mainline or cityhopper,
because the Fokker has an old nose and the 787 is mainline and embraer is cityhopper, then i see not the reason to not do the whole fleet.

I think it looks the opposite, more like a kind of weird smile/grin, when viewed from the front.

I still wonder why KLM has never painted its planes in a predominantly orange scheme. If you go to any sporting event, including the World Cup and the Olympics, Dutch fans are head to toe in orange.

The royal family is also the House of Orange. It's a quirk, yes, I'm not sure how it would look, eye catching, indeed, and it'd definately set itself apart.
There was a thread about orange KLM liveries a few months ago.

Well done, but I don't like it. It works on the Embraer because the dark blue stripe wraps around the very tip of the nose, and for this reason I hope it will do the same on the 787. But on the F70, it comes in below the tip of the nose and looks odd.

PH-BXA is wearing the previous outfit with the diagonal stripes,
This KLM logo and livery design with the diagonal dark and light blue striping and red KLM titles originates from 1958 and was designed by the Chicago based ad agency Erwin Wasey, Ruthrauff & Ryan.
In the early sixties Henri Henrion designed the bold KLM logo and the horizontal striped tail as seen in the three photo's in post 10

Agreed, I think it has to do with the shape of the nose of the ERJ190 and 787. Their A350's will most likely also be getting this livery as the nose of the A350 has similar characteristics compared to the 787:

Part of their Fokker 70 fleet will remain a little bit longer and these have received cabin upgrades as well. The older ones will be phased out. To my knowledge four of these have been taken over by Insel Air. One is already here in Curacao:

Agreed too guys, the newcomers have a distinct nose shape that's more fit to the new livery design, but I'd love to see the rest of the fleet painted in that revised livery too.... I think a little curvature on the dark blue/blue line would be nice on a 744 nose...

I'd like to see a more angular transition to the lower cheatline--some sort of a zig-zag in the cheatline just aft of the door perhaps.

With that being said, though, their entire fleet, once all the 787's and A350's are introduced, will look like it's constantly being repainted, and they just haven't gotten around to the other aircraft yet.
