Haha... looks like the same color it was the first time it was painted before it faded in the Texas sun.

It looks like the same original color as it was painted with when those two bays were built. It has just faded over the last decade. JMO. Don't know what is going to happen Mon.???

Monday isn't that far away. Looks like we're going to be having two exciting days in Commercial Aviation coming up back to back! (WN on Monday, F9 on Tuesday) Fasten your seatbelts, make sure all seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright and locked position and have the laptops in their full upright and tuned in position! This is going to be an amazing ride folks!

Everything at the HDQ and DAL are getting a fresh make over for the biggest party EVER.
WN is planning a week long party for saying good bye to the stupid Wright amendment.
Very reliable friends at HDQ are hearing several new international destination to be announced that week.
No new paint scheme other than the first theme painted 800.

If that's the case, and based on that crazy costume posted above, I predict thet

in line with the " All u need is luv" tv ads running in the DFW market, they're

painting this plane to look like the Beatle's Yellow Submarine or

Sgt Peppers album cover.. Now that would turn a few heads

If I had to guess, I'd think something also the lines of an Air Tran/Southwest mashup... mostly likely a largely eurowhite (maybe grey body) with Canyon Blue/orange tail and accents...

I highly doubt what I saw is just a specialty livery due to the fact that it incorporates the new Southwest Airlines font on the forward fuselage with no discernible specialty theme.

The red belly is gone and the blue is darker. The tail no longer has "SOUTHWEST" on it, but in its place comes 3 fast food colored ribbons (mustard yellow, white, and ketchup red) that extend from the tail, down past the first 4 rows of the aft fuselage, and then disappear under the plane. The rest of the fuselage is just dark blue with the ugliest placement of "Southwest" in white font across the forward fuselage (the new font as seen in the new Southwest Airlines magazine). The winglets are miniature versions of the tail, and "Southwest.com" appears on the engines in small font.

I hope that the folks at Southwest rethink this one. It is truly terrible; makes AA's look amazing in comparison. But, if not, I'll grab the popcorn, sit back and watch everyone on a.net tear it to shreds.

Since all former FL stations will be converted to WN by the beginning of November, it would have to be new ones.

I think at this point, we are definitely getting something. Whether it is a special livery or a new livery, I think we can conclude something is coming.

I haven't seen it but why should they share it? Whether it is leaked or not, no one wants to spread it that much. Would I love to see it? Hell yeah, but I also understand that it isn't for me or anyone here to see until it is released to the public.

Why should anyone leak it more than it already is? The more people that don't see it, the better. And that's coming from someone who hasn't but really would love to see it.

Sounds like they found some old TRANSTAR dark blue paint in a warehouse somewhere

It's not white with some lame corporate logo on the tail and the titles on the side in small, sans-serif font.

Who knows. Change might be good in this case. As a HUGE WN fan, I'm willing to see what they've got.

Why would you even think it was? The font-type for "Southwest" is wrong, base on rumors. It keeps the name on the tail, which according to rumors which is wrong. It is suppose to have "Southwest" on the fuselage...not SWA. I doubt we'll see another bonehead move like what Northwest did - it was just freaking stupid doing the "NWA" thing.

It was a massive size so I shrunk it down. Probably the closest representation of what has been suggested so far.

Oh geeeeeze, I hope you're not blaming this on GK too... so many employees do and it's so tired. I mean, Herb isn't going to live to be 1000 yrs old and things HAVE to change and evolve, otherwise it would still be 1984 and I'd love to see everyone working for those same wages they made back then and us still flying to only the cities we flew to back then and... oh what's that... yeah we wouldn't be around anymore.
