Quoting Miami (Thread starter): I love it! Looks beautiful. What do you think? |
Quoting laxboeingman (Reply 2): I just saw the picture of the 757 in the new paint job and I noticed a difference between its paint and others in the new livery. The rear door is fully painted in the tail portion of the scheme while that is not the case for other e/q types. I guess they are trying to keep the tail portion proportional for all of the e/q types, right? |

The first American Airlines 757 with the new livery at DFW Airport. |
Quoting DFWneedsQF (Reply 1): It looks fantastic! Can't wait to see it taxiing around next time in DFW |
Quoting laxboeingman (Reply 2): I will say that I certainly miss the all-metal jet with the AA on the tail. It doesn't look that good until you don't have it any more. Those are just my opinions. |
Quoting oly720man (Reply 10): If its history is repeated it's an east coast/Caribbean/S America/transatlantic aircraft. |
Quoting kann123air (Reply 6): I think it's the best looking aircraft in the New American colors. |
Quoting WesternDC6B (Reply 26): I know I will be thrashed by many for saying this, but the new livery is not to my liking. |
Quoting MD80 (Reply 11): IMO the classic livery (as seen on the MD-80) is much more elegant and well suited to fit on any aircraft-shape. The new livery looks "cheap" but as I wrote before - it´s only my impression. |
Quoting WesternDC6B (Reply 26): I know the old livery is no longer practical with more and more "plastic" airplanes coming on line |
Quoting WesternDC6B (Reply 26): I know the old livery is no longer practical with more and more "plastic" airplanes coming on line, but it looks FAR better than the new. I know I will be thrashed by many for saying this, but the new livery is not to my liking. Euro-blah white fuselage, with a tail paint scheme that looks rushed and discontinuous. No thanks. |
Quoting NWAROOSTER (Reply 33): I agree with you totally. It MIGHT look better if the stripes on the tail stopped at the crown of the fuselage. |
Quoting Mir (Reply 3): It's a problematic livery applied to a good looking plane. |
Quoting AmericanAirDFW (Reply 8): i tried really hard to get a good photo of it and wasn't able to get a photo better than these 2 |
Quoting MD80 (Reply 29): No, I am with you. The fuselage of the Boeing 757 looks like a refueling tanker-aircraft which collected a marquee with her tail. |

Quoting UA444 (Reply 38): I for one have no problem with this livery. Looks classier than DL's IMHO, and FAR better than the god awful CO livery. |
Quoting Mir (Reply 3): It's a problematic livery applied to a good looking plane. |
Quoting alfa164 (Reply 37): That photo makes me realize... the fuselage logo looks like it was designed by one person, the tail by another, and neither knew what the other one was doing... |
Quoting viscount630 (Reply 43): I still look at that new logo and automatically think "Greyhound"? |
Quoting YXwatcherMKE (Reply 4): I guess I will have to make a trip to ORD soon to see it there. |
