VV701 asked in the last thread why BA accept delivery of the aircraft at TLS rather than XFW. I would be interested to know this too; my guess would be that BA fly to TLS and so can ferry an A380 crew down there more cheaply as non-rev pax, rather than having to arrange transport to XFW?

BA is flying to HAM too and the bus shuttle for the crew from HAM to XFW shouldn't be an issue!

We are coming back to the point, that red wine in Southern France is better than in Northern Germany.

XFW-LHR=477nm
TLS-LHR=397nm

80 miles cheaper, that's it
They would prefer LIL, however. Unfortunately, not an option

Quoting ZKCIF (Reply 4):

Except that XFW-TLS = 682nm, so XFW-TLS-LHR = 1079nm, which is actually 602nm "less cheap" than delivering directly from XFW. There must be a jolly good reason, then!

When it comes to colours between these two airlines, BA would win for me. But both liveries are pretty good imho.  .

Looks like the production is smooth again? All the improved doors are available now for installing onboard?
