Thanks for the updates. Are those the first 772s to get the bright white paint?
Quoting by738 (Reply 2):
There was a Dreamflight, whether they logo'd it up Im not sure. G-CIVJ.
Quoting psimpson (Reply 5):
it had a grey patch fitted on both sides of the fuselage in the same place.
Quoting psimpson (Reply 5):
I have seen both B772s G-VIIX and G-YMMG
Quoting skipness1E (Reply 8):
think G-YMMG was first, yes.
Quoting BA174 (Reply 14):
Surprised they're bothering with G-BNLF!
Quoting bluesky73 (Reply 18):
I cannot see G-XLEH (8th 380) on your list
Quoting VV701 (Reply 6):
Does anyone know what the ATL-LHR charter flight was all about?
Quoting RTFM (Reply 11):
Atlanta Falcons I believe.
Quoting Vasu (Reply 26):
Are these instead of the "humps" some other airlines have?
Quoting WinterLight (Reply 29):
Quite a while since BA have done this.
Quoting WinterLight (Reply 33):
MEDF has a crest and looked white to me today
In Reply 13 TCX69K stated that 744 G-BNLF was scheduled to follow 'MJ into the LHR paint shop. It arrived back at LHR from YVR yesterday (9 November) lunchtime but there have been no reports of its movements since then.
I would expect most if not all the former BD aircraft to remain with the Pearl White version for another four or five years.
Quoting TCX69K (Reply 35):
The only ex-BD aircraft due for repaint within the next 2 years are BCB and BCD in Jul 2015 and BCK in Oct 2016.
Any repaint dates booked for the remaining Dove A319s?
It is interesting to learn that there is a provisional repaint schedule stretching out over 24 months although your comments on BNLF show the plan's flexibility virtually up to the last day.
Quoting TCX69K (Reply 43):
Been having a look at the current fleet repaint schedule. By the end of 2016 there will still be 81 A/C not white and 36 A/C with no crest. There is however 22 unallocated slots at MAD so them numbers could come down. So still a way to go yet!
Quoting TUGMASTER (Reply 47):
As we have a name for the old white... Eg Pearl...
Is there a name for the new white.... Maybe...??..?? ....Colgate white...?
Thanks TCX69K, does that 81/36 include aircraft leaving fleet 2016-18? Imagine many 744s, maybe even early 772s may not see paint shop again? When NEOs arrive maybe ex bmi aircraft or early BA 319s (EUP*s) will leave too and not need repainting?
