Kenya Airways Plans 787 Service To LHR
Kenya Airways starting January 19, 2015 will launch 787 operations on Nairobi - London Heathrow route, replacing the 777-200ER.
This will be the carrier's 2nd European destination served by the 787.

Great news. But a bit of a downgrade from the 77E with 322 seats compared to the 788 with 234 seats.

The 777s are rarely anywhere near full anyway. Can always be subbed for the 777 again if needed.

Hmmm, I agree that some uneducated people might make the decision not to travel to Kenya because they just link Ebola with the whole of Africa. However those of us with a brain should point out that the centre of the Ebola outbreak (Sierra Leone) is actually closer to London than Nairobi!!!!

I'd say the decrease in tourism to Kenya is more from terrorism threats - especially around the Mombassa area than from Ebola which has nothing to do with Kenya other than being on the same continent as some of the problem countries.

For passengers, the experience will be more comfortable, some cabins of their 772 start to be almost worn out. At least all the European cities will be served with new aircrafts.

This has nothing to do with intelligence, I know a ton of very bright people who can't manage to grasp the map scaling issues that cause this distorted perception. It's just a wall in most peoples heads.
