I think the white engines would have looked better if the livery was divided by an ANA style slash with the bottom half being white.

BTW, there is one Airbus doing a test flight out of XFW right now - AIB166C with F-WWSS. Which one is that?

I think its one of the best!
The more I see from Etihads new livery the more I like it. Together with BA and Korean I think this is the best paint for the A380 so far. The A380 needs colour to break up its bulky look.
Its different and bold, and the colours are tasteful and fitting to the country. The overall livery is also less tacky than the outgoing scheme.

Its definitely not one lame crap a la Iberia, JAL, or worse, China Eastern.

Top livrery !! It will perfectly suit the 787-9 like Virgin Atlantic's.

I watched its take-off 6-7 times. Amazing plane.

I really like the general concept of the new livery and the tail section looks great. But, at least in my opinion, something is off with the way it extends forward on the top and bottom of the fuselage.

So when do they slap that stupid "FORMULA ONE" advert on top of the brand? Really bugs me, it destroys the intergrity of the branding IMHO, much like EXPO 2020 on Emirates and "FORMULA ONE" all over Gulf Air, another otherwise beautiful scheme.

This A380 looks like a palace in those colours! Best A380 in the sky in my opinion.

Loved the new livery from the start and I'll love it till it's rebranded again.

I remember reading something official saying that the fleet would be re-branded on par with the maintenance schedule. Can anyone confirm if the A340's will also be repainted?

The colour combination is awesome! but thats where my like for this livery ends. I don't understand the tail to fuselage mix, nor do I "get" what the shapes on the tail are meant to represent!

However that pinkish gold hue in the sunlight is stunning!

I still think though the A380 lends itself better to the dreaded Euro whites schemes (of which personally Im a fan of) as the A380 is quite a bulky mass of airplane (putting it next to say a 744/8 for eg), the white tends to smooth it out a bit. Just my 2c's

Wow what a beauty. Just recently got 1:200 A380s one being China Southern and Qatar. Honestly the Etihad A380 1:200 will be amazing.

I don't know how some could suggest, this is the ugliest livery on an aircraft. It's downright gorgeous. Hopefully they retain their FA uniforms, including the very terrific female Purser uniforms.

WOW on the A321, loving it more, I know it has some philopsphy behind it but I dont care as long as a livery looks good even if it was drawn on a napkin using crayons at the spur of the moment with no logic to the design, as long as its balanced and everything is placed well.

I love the new EY livery and they should keep those engines white to give more balance to the colors used to avoid having too much pearl color in the entire livery.

I really like the new Etihad color scheme a lot. A nice combination of colors that remind me of the desert. And very unique and classy.

And I agree, the engine nacelles need to be colored gold.

It would have been nice if they had made the arabic title as large as the english one and had the in the same tandem as on the left side of aircraft i.e arabic title on left english on right, the crest as I said before should have been near cockpit and small, maybe between cockpit and front exit, thats the best spot, the flag at the rear next to registration.

For some reason QR, EK and EY have opted to have the Arabic titles in smaller size next to the english titles. I don't know why that is.

Yes, its the tail that I dont like as well. Only a small minority will agree it looks like according to this thread.
