It is. Even though the production is slower than originally anticipated the number of A380's out there has grown to quite an impressive number. And they are all performing very fine with still the highest average customer satisfaction numbers.

It won't be that long before there will be 200 A380's flying for the customers who have ordered it.

So EK will have Y upstairs too? How are they going to handle boarding from the two-level terminal in DXB with dedicated levels for Y and J/F?

I just realize the only new airline which will get confirmed A380 left (while none has been built yet) is Transaero, with Virgin and Air Austral much in doubt. Would be nice if we get more new colours from the production line in the next few years.

Waow, time flies. Already 150 airframes of these "niche planes" out there.

What a pity it's all over now. I hope the delivery ceremony will not be disturbed by the noise created by the demolition works of the A 380-FAL , or did I misunderstand something?

Oh, interesting! So MSN 196 will be on one of the next convoys I guess (it'll be a HoV and will need more time than the other frames). Can't wait to see the blue tail fin.

Let's hope the relations with Russia will get better. Honestly, I am little bit concerned about the development of their currency and you know how a cat reacts when being pushed into a corner.... This is of course off-topic but it could, I repeat COULD become an issue next year.

G'day

I wonder if Sir U-Turn is going to announce the rumored A 380 top up order tomorrow?

In an interview back in September when he received the first of the A 380's he said the airline's network could accommodate 20 to 25 of the aircraft. Maybe relations are still a bit on the acid side, but then again Akbar Al Baker earned his title somehow...

Cheers
