The new American Airlines is doing retro jets in all the past merger partners.I have yet to see TWA I wonder which
scheme they will do,the 1950s Constellation,The Twin Globe,the 1975-1995 scheme or the last one.TWA bought Ozark
in 1984.I would like to see a Ozark plane in AA's fleet. in addition I hope the 737-823 in the retro AA scheme fro the 1960s
will not be repainted.

Why should they? AA didn't merge with Ozark, TW did, and TW is no longer with us.
They are doing the 1975-1995 scheme.

AA didn't merge with PSA,Piedmont,Allegheney either, but still a predecessor like Ozark is,so why not?

Those airlines merged into USAir directly. They weren't acquired in a round-about way like Ozark->TWA->AA is. And since US is the second half of the AA/US merger, those logojets will stay around. Especially when they have Parker at the helm.

But with the merged carrier, they basically have the same path. How is Piedmont->US Air-> Merged AA/US different than Ozark->TWA->Merged AA/US?

The "rule" that Doug described with these legacy liveries is to represent all the airlines that directly merged into or were directly acquired by either Legacy AA or Legacy US. Therefore, we will see AirCal and Reno Air jets, but not an Ozark jet. Directly from Doug.

That Is not the case though. AA bought TransCaribbean in the early 70's but they have no plans to have a retro jet to honor that airline.... And I think that stinks.
