Its quite easy to detect proxy servers and block them, which is why the new approach is VPNs.

Surprise surprise, they managed to outdo Boeing in the 5th quarter, again by a sliver. Of course, it's much easier to magically come up with orders than it is deliveries

So where did these 400+ orders come from?

Quoting KarelXWB (Reply 14):
1 A350

And that was to Qatar, so that should count as 20-30 standard deliveries  Silly

Currently, they are showing a slide saying "A 380: 20 orders (gross)"
That seems to be the Amadeo-order (firmed in February 2014). It speaks for itself that they present gross orders (w/o the cancellation of the six Skymark airframes)...

There are now 3621 A320neo aircraft in backlog (firm orders). This doesn't include the IndiGo order for 250 aircraft.

Yemenia converted its A350-800 order to the larger A350-900 and Hawaiian swapped to A330neo. A350-800 backlog is now down to 16 aircraft (8x Asiansa and 8x Aeroflot).

Very non-commital about the A380NEO, talking up the CEO. They 'have not even studied an A380NEO'

It is clear they do not want to make a binding statement as of yet. The concept for sure will be studied, but the outcome remains unclear. Talks with RR will be deciding I guess. If they can get the "Advanced" on the airplane in the right form, I am sure they will announce a major upgrade to the A380. How it will look like we will have to wait for.

But JL just reiterates that several sales campaigns are currently running for the A380. Hopefully we will see new orders for the aircraft soon.

Six (6!) unidentified A320 customers (not five as Airbus claim) for 214 planes (!!!) in December?

Very un-Airbus.

From the independent financial auditors for the 2013 year end report:

Quote:

In our opinion, the consolidated financial statements give a true and fair view of the financial position of
European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company EADS N.V. as at 31 December 2013 and of its result
and its cash flows for the year then ended in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards
as adopted by the European Union and with Part 9 of Book 2 of the Netherlands Civil Code.

...

Pursuant to the legal requirements under Section 2:393 sub 5 at e and f of the Netherlands Civil Code, we
have no deficiencies to report as a result of our examination whether the report of the Board of Directors,
to the extent we can assess, has been prepared in accordance with Part 9 of Book 2 of this Code, and if the
information as required under Section 2:392 sub 1 at b - h has been annexed. Further, we report that the
report of the Board of Directors, to the extent we can assess, is consistent with the consolidated financial
statements as required by Section 2:391 sub 4 of the Netherlands Civil Code
http://www.airbus-group.com/dms/airb...dated%20Financial%20Statements.pdf

I have no doubt that this February a similar statement will be made.

For the conspiracy theorists to be at all correct, they have to throw into doubt the international reputations of two major independent auditors - Ernst & Young Accountants LLP and KPMG Accountants N.V.

I don't see them being able to do that, but that still doesn't seem to silence them does it?

An man in his position can not make a statement like this if it would be incorrect. The number of orders for undisclosed customers is still lower than at Boeing btw.

What is surprising is that Airbus was able to overtake Boeing WITHOUT either of the two major orders I thought might swing it - Indigo or possibly Avianca.

Given the MoU was public, I don't see why the firm order (or part thereof) would be booked as 'undisclosed'. Reuters already reported that Airbus's 2014 numbers did not include the Indigo order.

But why suddenly do the undisclosed appear in December when they haven't done it before?

There are "Undisclosed" customers in June, July and November as well - what makes December any more special?

Don't the Chinese usually order in "undisclosed" form? For example the A319neo order of 4 is undisclosed but I believe it is going to China Southern

He did sound embarrassed to have to explain the order jump.

Embarrassed? That would be your interpretation, but presumably it requires you to ignore the part about signed, legally-binding contracts, paid deposits and auditors.

Suddenly?

Airbus has booked 'undisclosed' orders in December in previous years. They also have a number of other undisclosed orders in 2014 before December (June, July, November x 3). Boeing booked 191 'unidentified' orders in November & December. What's your point, exactly?

They had undisclosed orders in December 2013 as well.
What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived.
