Curious about B6 ops at SJU and whether flights to STI, SDQ, SXM, STT, and STX, are more geared toward local traffic or is there a significant amount of connecting traffic to these cities from FLL, TPA, MCO, and any others. Are they backfilling flights that were once flown by AA? In other words, what are the primary drivers and whether the traffic is for connections or a strong local market, or both?

I would have to say it's geared more towards connecting FLL and MCO to their Caribbean destinations that aren't served non-stop. I do feel there's more local traffic in between PR and DR.

Actually - SJU-STI/SDQ is a pretty large market. I would say it's more O+D, than connecting traffic. Outside of NYC, SJU has the second largest population of Dominicans. Not to mention trade between the two.
Destinations like STT/STX/SXM, are more geared for connecting traffic for sure. There's local demand between these islands, but with more tourism involved.

It varies. Right now STI and PUJ are a320 routes, but that's also aircraft routing and availability. STT has almost always been e90, SXM usually is an e90 but has seen a320 service. SDQ goes both ways.

Probably. B6 hasn't ordered any A321LRs, but they are one of the carriers expected to. I'd bet that a B6 A321LR would have the same cabin config as the current B6 A321 Mint. Having the Mint configuration would cut down on baggage compared to a higher density layout, which would help since the A321LR will be losing cargo space to accommodate an extra fuel tank.

Heard that they are looking into possibly converting the current A321neo to A321LR. I would see the footprint moving further south, IE FLL/SJU-GRU/GIG, etc
And JFK-LIM/MDE/BOG. I would surmise TATL from the northeast hubs to underserved leisure markets to Europe may even be possible.
The SJU trans carribean flying is mostly local I think being that B6 is a mostly point to point. Seems to be doing well filling the gap Eagle left.
