Quoting kiwiandrew (Reply 3): Don't get too excited. As far as I am aware it's just a one off SYD-PER-IST return flight due to the 100th anniversary of the ANZAC landing at Gallipoli. |
Quoting 777Jet (Reply 5): he timing of the flight fits in perfectly with the ANZAC flight that has been planned for ages. I just thought it was not to IST but to a different airport when first announced??? |
Quoting TK787 (Reply 7): Quoting 777Jet (Reply 5): I just thought it was not to IST but to a different airport when first announced??? It was supposed to be SAW, the number 2 airport in Istanbul. |

Quoting 777Jet (Reply 12): Also, maybe to pick up some people from the West Coast attending but I could be wrong... |
Quoting LAXintl (Reply 10): ts a one-time ANZAC charter http://australianaviation.com.au/201...ntenary-of-anzac-flight-to-turkey/ |
Quoting cbrboy (Reply 18): This subject was discussed extensively starting on 3 January in this thread after Qantas started advertising the flights. |

Quoting 777Jet (Reply 22): I wonder if it will be on one of the six 747-400ERs that only QF operate or just one of QF's regular non-ER 747-400s? |
