AA To Take Delivery Of First 787-8 Today (1/23)

Despite others thread, it's finally happening after a few months delay.

AA will be taking delivery of it's first 787-8 Dreamliner today. (January 23, 2015)

Awesome to see delivery of the first flight. I want to see that business class one day. I think that AA has the strangest business class configuration of any airline in the world with its half backwards herringbone and half reverse-herringbone configuration.

I used to think BA had the strangest configuration, but now the AA one is quite different. I am eager to see it in person since it is different and unique. The 77W seat is similar to others and great. I assume the 787 and 772 seat will be just as good or better, but want to see it.

Those photos are terrible. Why anyone would shoot an AA bird in shit light is beyond me

I imagine there are people there right now and the conditions are terrible.

ok I don't get it. What does this plane have that's so special? It looks like a 737 with big engines...DUH..I have read it's cheaper to fly, but this is no piston to jets,narrow bodies to widebodies, and it is ugly. Do you really think that 99% of passengers really care? They want a comfortable seat, a snack or beverage, and be on time, (weather being understood)

Possible? Well, technically yes. Probably? No way.

First rule of sales: it's not how low you can make it, it's how MUCH you can justify and successfully charge.
Just because it's cheaper to fly, doesn't mean they want to pass it along to pax.
