ZK-OXG has been delivered. Currently making a turn to avoid Bangladeshi airspace. 24 Airbus in the fleet and 27 Boeings currently. Although the dates have likely changed, in older threads the following delivery and retirement dates have been mentioned:
ZK-OXH delivery 2015-03. Pictured here @
XFW http://flic.kr/p/qTsbVV (25 Airbus, 27 Boeings).
ZK-NGR retirement date has passed, so retirement is presumably imminent? (25 Airbus, 26 Boeings).
ZK-NGG retirement 2015-05. (25 Airbus, 25 Boeings).
So by the end of May, the number of Airbuses will finally equal the number of Boeings. This will be tipped back towards Boeing as more 787s are delivered mid year and
Q3 and it is likely to stay that way as there are more 787s on order than 767s due for retirement. Is anyone able to make corrections to the dates I have above? All dates are what I've recorded from these threads.
Also, I have
ZK-OXI's delivery in mid 2016 which seems to be quite a gap. Is that still the case?
Quoting aerorobnz (Reply 5): What I can say is they are being standardised interiorwise with VAA. The first aircraft is not far away. from service entry. |
ZK-PBA (which is now VH-VOO) has been exclusively operating in Australia since its refit, so I guess that answers my question.

I wonder what the next widebody for NZ will be? |
My fingers are crossed unbelievably tightly for the A350.

C17 for NZ is a very long shot IMO, I think we'll eventually end up with A400's. |

I can't imagine the C17 winning an RFP. But the govt probably could go and arbitrarily buy a few of the 'white tails' if they felt that Boeing was offering them a good enough deal. That wouldn't surprise me too much.
I actually like this. All the bits of this and that (OAB, OKQ,
OKO, OKP, NZE) are a nice distraction from the new livery.
1) Free
PR.
2) Because retrojets are awesome.

At this stage it appears last scheduled 737 service is on 6th Sep. |
What flight-number? When will we know if the airline is having a special retirement flight?
