Gandalf Airlines from Italy is a DL Connection carrier?

Maybe these are the seven ex-PLUNA aircraft that have been looking for a new home...

No, it's Gojet, the subsidiary of Trans States (AX)

Race to the bottom continues... Nothing to see here enjoy your delays and cancelled flights out of LGA.

A lot of the airline codes on A.net are out-of-date, but yes: G7 is acutally GoJet, which is part of Trans States along with Compass.
I'd take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance any day.

Correct. Therefore it would be good if posters would give that information themselves, rather than not bothering typing in another 5 - 15 characters, and leave the majority of Anetters around the world baffled for what is being meant.

Delta in fact bought these... and will be distributing them to GoJet.

Because he did not read it first hand. He heard it from a friend who read it.

Someone with GoJet can maybe confirm.

Thread title is fine for abbreviations, but yes, by god if you start a thread you should spell out the airline or airport.

Is GoJet going to have any trouble staffing new aircraft? Is this expansion or are they drawing down other flying?

I don't know if it's quite fair to call it more of a race to the bottom. GoJet already flies for DL. With the staffing issues at other carriers (9E/EV) it makes sense to send them to GoJet.

Actually you're right... it's not a race to the bottom. GoJets is about as low as it can get.

Their CR7s are the dirtiest, filthiest, grossest planes I have ever seen. They need a deep-cleaning with full-on HAZMAT suits. By far the dirtiest planes in the DCI fleet. I can't imagine what they fly for UAX is any better.

Well, someone tried to add it to the GoJet wiki page and completely messed it up...

Care to elaborate on "staffing issues" as I'm a bit out of the loop?

Last I saw someone post the pilot turnover numbers at DL's existing CR9 operators (EV, 9E and OO), both 9E and EV were barely keeping up with attrition of those guys going to mainline. I've heard EV is doing better and OO doesn't seem to have this problem as they're ditching the E120s and moving those guys into the larger RJs. Someone at one of those carriers--please update as if you're able.

G7's UA fleet got an overhaul in Spring/Summer of 2014 and actually look pretty decent inside. New seat covers and expanded E+. Now if they could bring through an airplane without a laundry list of MELs more than once a week that would be great.

Rumor is true.

Yes, we're getting 7 CRJ-900s, to be delivered between June and October.
The Delta -700s we have are being refitted this year as well. They will get an extra row of seating, taking them from 65 to 69 seats. This is being done by moving the rear of the cabin back towards the aft pressure bulkhead, where the aft cargo bin is.

So is it expansion or will other aircraft be retired to match?
