just wanted to know if any one knows how SEN is doing now as they have had there runway extension in service for a while now.
Are flights full ?? and could we see any new airlines this year or any new routes.

Well, FlyBe killed their flights to MST and Antwerp last month...don't know if it was due to the lease with Stobart Air going away or if the numbers just sucked.
I flew MST-SEN back in December...frankly, I've flown into all the London airports except LTN and SEN has to be the WORST of the area airports to get to and from. And their security crews are clueless when it came to allowable liquids for my daughter. Needless to say I won't be flying into SEN again.

I like SEN, I've used it around a dozen times since 2012 and every experience has been positive thanks to its small size and friendly staff. It's a great little airport for Essex and maybe the east of London but it's difficult to justify its use as an airport for Greater London, it's simply too far away and the train service isn't fast enough or operates at the right times to be of much use.
Airline success at SEN appears to be somewhat hit and miss, Aer Arann/Stobart Air/Aer Lingus Regional has been and gone, Flybe are already reshuffling, OLT Express Germany only lasted a few months and Skywork have only recently moved from LCY so time will tell how that goes.
At least easyJet has settled in well, I think they have three or four A319s based there now and a nice selection of routes, there's definitely potential for them to grow but it seems a lot of effort is needed to constantly promote what's on offer even for such a strong brand like easyJet which goes some way in explaining why the other lesser known airlines have struggled.

- Full Year Movements 11.541 +21.8%
- Passengers December 2014: 73.484 -7.8%
- Full Year Passengers: 1.102.260 +13.6%
To translate the above, lately SEN hasn't been doing too well.
Some routes are fine: AMS +34% (2014), but domestic routes to BFS, EDI, JER closed.
The routes were killed as passengers numbers sucked.
