Quote: Another one I've seen is Fiji Airways. I don't have a decent photo of it, but I've seen it while it was making landfall on approach to LAX. |

Quoting vegas005 (Reply 28): I have written to Swiss many times to ask them to add belly logos. The Swiss flag on the bottom of an otherwise incredibly dull livery would look amazingly nice. Of course, no response....they keep on with the typical Euro White planes.... |

I fail to see the point of any aircraft identification on the lower fuselage. Anyone living close enough to an airport to see a name/logo is so used to aircraft they never even look up when one flies over. And any plane spotters already know whose aircraft it is. It's a waste of time in my opinion. |
Quoting mugler (Reply 38): Instead of worrying about painting their logos on the belly they should all light up their tails at night.. I mean its easier to advertise that way plus there's a reason why you have your logo on the tail.. I hate airlines that don't light up the tail especially big jets!! |
Quoting 777way (Thread starter): Emirates - pioneered the trend in current era |
Quoting SpaceshipDC10 (Reply 8): You've missed the one which started the trend, I believe. |
Quoting EK413 (Reply 9): Quoting SpaceshipDC10 (Reply 8): I was about to say I'm sure JQ kicked off this trend not EK. The EK titles rolled out with the introduction of the A380 fleet in 2008. |
Quoting 777way (Reply 11): Quoting EK413 (Reply 9): No EK came out on 777, originally KLM used to have logo on belly back when it started as an airline. |
Quoting qf002 (Reply 26): Quoting RJ321 (Reply 25): Emirates started the trend, I remeber them doing it in the early 2000s I could be wrong, but I thought EK only started doing the belly titles in mid-2005 to coincide with the introduction of the 77W? JQ started doing the belly titles a year earlier with the introduction of the silver-based livery (having initially used the same titles/tail but on a white base). |
