TK is a whole different animal now with a much improved product, excellent connectivity and Star Alliance membership. In 2003,
TK carried 10.4 million passengers and served 103 destinations with 65 aircraft. In 2013, the airline carried 48.3 million passengers and served 243 destinations with 233 aircraft. This has contributed to average annual passenger traffic growth of 14.4% at
IST between 2002 and 2014. In 2014,
IST handled 57.0 million passengers (13th in the world) vs. 11.4 million in 2002.
