Asiana To Start Seoul - Rome FCO 3xweekly

Thu Mar 19, 2015 2:05 pm

According to Airlineroute:

ASIANA AIRLINES has disclosed it planned new destination in Europe for Summer 2015 season, as the airline opened reservation for Seoul Incheon – Rome service for travel from 30JUN15. The Star Alliance member will operate this route 3 times a week, with Boeing 777-200ER.

OZ561 ICN1300 – 1845FCO 772 246
OZ562 FCO2015 – 1405+1ICN 772 246

Earlier this month at ITB Berlin, the airline’s representative told Airline Route that it plans to open a new destination in Southern Europe this Summer season.

After KE split its ICN-MXP-FCO-ICN into two separate routes and AZ announcing a FCO-ICN route soon I am surprised to see all this capacity on this route...

Looks like a fare war, and bloodbath of yields, waiting to happen!

I thought they wanted to add ATH and partnership with Aegean, but FCO must be better in the forecast.
