No sign yet of any equivalent codesharing between TAM and BA. A full joint-venture between TAM and Iberia does seem a logical next step so they can co-ordinate schedules.
Quote: Iberia and TAM, both of them members of the oneworld alliance, and TAM a member of the LATAM Airlines group, have extended their code-sharing agreement to offer more connection possibilities to their customers in Brazil and Europe. Starting today, the two carriers will code share each other’s Madrid-São Paulo-Madrid flights, Iberia’s Madrid-Rio de Janeiro-Madrid flights, and the São Paulo-Barcelona-São Paulo flight that TAM will operate starting on the 1st of October. |
