#752 will go to AMA for paint 13 Jun, then it looks like it will go into Induction 20 Jun.
#753 should go to MIA for some Induction MX work 18 Jun, then go to AMA 09 Jul for paint.
#754 should go to Induction MIA on 30 Jun, then AMA for paint on 22 Jul.

It looks like they forst went into Acceptance Induction, then will go for Fleet Induction later.

A big Fleet Upgrade,

Low wet strength towels. Increases the reliability of the Fleet preventing maintenance issues. While the paper towels currently used, low wet strength, they are more expensive than the towels they replaced, they have a lower “wet strength” quality. The new paper towels have dramatically reduced the number of lav-related diversions, cancellations and delays.

These new towels may fall apart in your hands.

Don't know if I could turn around to wash my hands anyway.

The sink basin in the new lavs is so small, that if your hands are under the faucet, water goes EVERYWHERE... the sink is smaller than your hands. You pretty much have to rinse one hand at a time, and hold your hand in a vertical profile.

That said, I have no idea what your post about wet strength towels was intended to communicate.

Sounds like they switched to towels that degrade in liquids more easily....ie if they are flushed they are less likely to gumm up the works and take the lav out of service.

35 A350-1000 deliveries starting in 2018
10 777-300s on order for deliveries beginning in Jan 2016.

I was surprised to see the January 2016 date as the posted delivery for the first 77W. Not sure if this was confirmed before as this is the first time I recall seeing a firm date published. There should be some news on the cabin configuration leaking out soon!

As a mechanic, I support that notion, however... they already fell apart as you tried to pull them out of the dispenser with your wet hands. Hope they're not much flimsier than that!

They are flimsier then that.

Acft # 006, legacyContinental/SCEPTRE B-777 aircraft, transitioned today EWR-MCO-EWR with SCEPTRE Electronic Log Book. Finally merging the seperate systems. All the legCAL 777s will follow. Evaluation time is hoped to be around 90 days. Then on to other legacyCAL/SCEPTRE aircraft fleets, till the whole legCAL Fleet transitions to ELB. Then the legacyUnited/AMIS acft will follow.

3 different ways to sign the Fleet off in play now.

They can order an additional 18 E175s until they max out under the current scope numbers....for a total of 153. UA expects to order the additional 18 in the near future...the 135 number that you quote is how many E175s that they currently operate or have on order.

The 18 conversions will max them out at 153 76 seat aircraft....

I'm not sure about an immanent order but eventually yes if they want to grow the 76 seat fleet further....the E175s are all scheduled to be delivered by 2017 so they have a little time yet before they have to make a choice.

No, N516UA is on the exit list, but MCN is routine maint. According the CALTECH's list it is about #6 on the list and I'd guess we're looking at a lot leaving in Sept. after Peak Summer services.

The 77Ws are not replacing the 744s they are using them to upguage routes and backfill for the 10 772As that are being converted for domestic use. UA has mentioned that there will be another pair of 744s leaving in 2016 but the bulk of the fleet will remain until at least 2020 when the next cycle of heavy maintenance is due. UA will decide at that point if they are going to extend the 744s lives or retire them...

What does this mean? I follow DL more closely than UA, but I was reading in another thread that the 3 class 763's are being converted to two class. Are any other mods being done? What will the Business Cabin look like? COach? I assume that they're going with live streaming - do you nkow if each seat will have power?
