It's now official: Swiss will become the first CSeries operator in the first half of next year. Type certification is still planned for the end of the year.

In addition, Bombardier will showcase the CSeries at the Paris Air Show next month.

Well, good for Swiss.
I very much look forward to seeing the plane in the clean SWISS livery.
I'm still holding hope for more orders. Besides LX, who is there.... a few for Korean?

EDIT: The linked article states 204+ orders. Okay, that's not so bad. But besides Korean, there aren't very many big names.
So I'm still hoping that a major US or European carrier will find a way to fit it into their fleet!

Porter's purchase depends upon a runway that isn't approved yet, let alone built. Was never a possibility.

However, I'm waiting for a few a.net members to pass through this thread so they can be served their meal of crow...

Indeed, some triple A carriers extra on the list would be good me thinks. Hopefully when she starts flying in service the order will pick up again.

Any words or leaks on fuel burn and performance?

I still think this could be a good fit for Brussels Airlines.
Maintenance wise they could use the same base, since both are LH group.

Would like to see them in SN colours here in BRU.

I prefer to avoid the combination of 'leaks' and 'fuel'...

LG may eventually be a client for the CS100/300, as they have disclosed plans to purchase new high-capacity jets for 2020.

Agree, Especially if a possible future CS500 is developed, it would seem to be a perfect fit for them!

Finally ! This has been long overdue

UA can really use the C-series - CS100 to bridge the wide divide between E75 and 319/73G, while CS300 can eventually replace some of the aging 319s. Both be operated as mainline, which eliminates the need to re-work the 76-seat limit of the regional contract.
