With thread #38 being archived, it is about time to open a new thread.

News is that ZRH will welcome the first CS100 aircraft visiting on Wednesday June 17th around 1900hrs LT.
Very nice is that the aircraft will be in FULL SWISS livery, albeit with standard Bombardier seating and interior.
flown: F50,F70,CR1,CR2,CR9,CS3,E75,E90,143,AR8,AR1,733,735,736,73G,738,

it was published in an internal LX newspaper, distributed to all Swiss staff worldwide, so I expect external sources later today.
Nothing was mentioned as 'confidential' so I assumed it was free to spread the news

Will the aircraft only be in ZRH on June 17th or stay longer?

It will stay longer, there are media events planned for the 18th. I have no further information about the length of the visit, but it's at least two days.

Apparently, ZRH-YYC is also a new destination in 2016. Are other longhaul destinations being discontinued?

On the other hand, exciting news from inside Switzerland! Pilatus' first jet aircraft PC-24 made its maiden flight today!
Good day to you sir! Please turn left, your seat is in the first row.

@ antonov A330 :

Edelweiss will recieve a third and brandnew 242T A330-300 so they can expand their network by 1/3.
I expect more to come, a fourth rotation to TPA sounds good to me too

Yes, I was aware of that. I wasn't sure though if it was possible to add 2 new longhaul destinations with 'just' one new plane.

I believe these 2 routes would be possible with 1 extra frame in the fleet. Perhaps WK has to reshuffle some departures here and there, but it should be easily doable.
