Okay I'm a Delta fan, my father flew for Delta for 39 years. But seriously, these people in Atlanta are making the worst decisions, IMHO. This is an airline, not an entertainment venue. The videos with a grandma sipping tea in turbulence and a guy in a neck brace looking behind him are fine and droll, but this?
As a legacy carrier, among the top 3 largest airlines in the world, Delta ought to be poising itself as a high-end airline, elegant, classy, comfortable; I think airlines in general should allude to 1960's Pan Am days as much as is possible, and people would like that. I know the world is changed, more people fly, and many flights are like cattle cars on a train, but they should work to make flying romantic and worthwhile, and that will take people's minds of
TSA problems and the inconveniences they might find in air travel as much as this silliness.
This is simply childish. Yes, most people know the information, but it ought to remain serious. I liked Delta's new brand in 2007, but it wore off quickly. If the board of Delta or any major US carriers are looking for a new Chairman, I'd volunteer in exchange for free F/J airfare.
