Agree. When I saw the title of your thread I really hoped it would be this livery.

Super. Hope they will also do one in the 1990-1997 version with billboard MEA titles, the livery which was carried on the 707s and (more or less) the 720B I flew on with them.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

Not many people seem to be interested in this airline I have noticed before as well, had it been any other hundreds would have oohed and aahed by now.

MEA has always fascinated me, what with Lebanon appearing to be on the brink of chaos at any given moment. If it isn't Israel bombing the runways at BEY, it's ISIS or someone else having a go at them. And through it all, MEA keeps on flying.

The aircraft will be officially unveiled next week at a ceremony where MEA celebrates its 70th anniversary on 29th MAY.
Once the aircraft OD-RMI starts flying again in June we should see full pictures of it and then a few Aaah and Oooh's.

I'm looking forward to that.

Indeed an interesting airline. I loved that cover (below) when it was published, and the title is perfect.

Yes! would absolutely love that! I was hoping this was going to be that livery but alas. Still a timeless classic and looks great

Very cool! Can't wait to see this scheme at BEY. It has the old wingtip fences as well, so it's doubly retro

They are survivors, and really have a great product. Their lounge at BEY - it seems to cover almost an entire floor there - is probably my favorite airline lounge in the world!
I'm going to have a smokin' hot body again!

So I guess it's time to say Happy Anniversary. I have to say that the A321 shown above in the retro livery kind of reminds me a bit the Comet 4. Probably because of its long fuselage and short tail.

Its odd that airlines dont choose their first livery to celebrate the anniversary, most pick looks that came on later, PIA too have done the same.
