According to the information I've got, MSN 6 was delivered after 12 test flights, MSN 7 after 14 test flights and MSN 9 after 5 test flights. I presume that the number of test flights required decreases as the level maturity/experience increases. How many test flights will be necessary (on average) say, for deliveries from MSN 10/14 onwards, providing everything goes "normal"? Does anybody know?

Quoting starbucks in part 6 (reply 227)

Actually it is "Technical Acceptance Customer" as Richards2014 posted earlier.
It means the customer formally accepts the aircraft and the official delivery procedure is started (i.e. the money is transferred and the documents for the Transfer of Title are signed).

Thanks for that, starbucks!

The prettiest plane flying today. It also appears to be the most mature entry into service jet for some time.
I understand that Qatar operate the jet without any Airbus technicians on hand.

Yes , but - I hear you say, the deliveries are so slow... Agreed. But better slow and sorted.

After this and the piece about the LEAP engine not meeting specs, I'm starting to wonder, maybe they didn't get Boeing's pay cheque for the past few months

Frankly very surprised that the proposed range of the 'mid-size' model is only 7,600nms. Doesn't seem to be anything LIKE enough to compete with the B777 and B787 on level terms?

The more payload the less range. Seems obvious to me.

This has been discussed many times before, you can't compare design ranges from Boeing and Airbus on a 1:1 basis.
