On their facebook...I am assuming this is about FA's. Number 3 is great.

Why did I not get picked? Here are some possible explanations.
1. You failed a simple, yet extremely important exercise. You failed to follow the application instructions to the letter. This part is very important to us as a safety driven organization. When people fail to follow instructions, it leaves room for accidents or demonstrates sometimes, a disregard for processes. Simple instructions like send in PDF/jpg were put there deliberately to test for this.
2. You may have failed to do the required work. The application information may have been in several places on our wall, we expected a serious candidate to first take their time an read everything before taking action. This is a sign of diligence. Rather, more time was spent sending messages to us to walk you through processes that had already been described.
3. We looked for improvement, you may have been 85 kilos when you first applied, but subsequently you weighed in at 65 kilos when we expected you to be 60 kilos. We overlooked the extra five kilos or more because you gave us a sign of commitment that you will keep working at it. Then most people couldn't swim, so we tested three times plus paid for and made available a free pool and you showed no sign of improvement, for those, we gave up on themi. Most people passed the swimming test only on the basis of improvement because there's many more months of training ahead.
4. You brought a letter from a Senior government official or knew some of the interviewers, this only got you through the door. Without your own effort, it's a fail.
5. You're an experienced crew and didn't show it during tests or exercises. It would've been better to say you had no experience because we deducted points for failing to gain from your experience.
6. We learnt more about you from Facebook than your cv? Watch your public projection. It may help or hurt you. Truth and honesty were very importance factors in our choice. You told us something and your Facebook page spoke differently. Then caring, we looked for and got that on your page gasp emoticon wink emoticon
So if you failed this time, there are always future opportunities. Prepare yourself better because we have information to see the improvements. Don't take this failure as the end but an opportunity to come back even better. That your next personal challenge.
Good luck to everyone, and for those that get the letter, get ready for the hardest part and the path to the next most exciting phase of your life.....

Nigeria out of hub? It looks like fake website. They are trying to stealing your money when you online book the flight. I doubt it that is a real airline. There is no 747-400 deliver to Smile Air at all!

Love how the 747 on the website moves up and down..... Probably done at class where you learn to do websites.

Looks like 747 is being painted in Tehran with two Mahan Airbus in the hangar next to it.

Meridian House, Ring Road Central -- Accra, Ghana seems to be the Smile corporate headquarters address. There is not active
aviation certificate (air operator certificate) on file for Smile Air at this time with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority --- and the "corporate address" just so happens to be an Emirates ticket office.

SHADY!

Despite the more than dubious intentions of this so called airline: why would Mahan Air sell B744? Didn´t they need them on their own?

They only operate 743s, and they have two or three 744s parked since a few years, likely due to sanctions. I bet they would operate those 744s instead of 743s if they could.
Also, they are renewing their fleet with 7 A340-600s so the days of the 743s are numbered.

Based on the ex-Blue Sky comment, are people aware that Blue Sky shut down and Mahan painted the 744s in their own livery more so since they had purchased them, why call them ex-Blue Sky then? why not call them ex-whomever they first belonged to/ were built for.

Didn't it occur to you that for some reasons and to some people it might represent something special that an airline based in Armenia (the first ?) had a fleet of 747?

Also, it's not the first time that I read comments from some members that are happy to see aircraft that were with one specific airline or another return to the sky or stay active. You are on a public forum where people are free to express what they think, so long they respect the forum's rules and the other members.

Sounds really stupid to pretend the aircraft are of some company that dosent even exist anymore and not even in its branding, more so since they were not even the original owners of the aircraft, if similar had been said for Mahan flying them it would still make sense but not a third party taking them from a second party.

On 12th June, they updated their Facebook page to say that the Cabin Crew interviews scheduled for 15th June were being postponed.

The reason given was "Non availability of our Inflight Team who were currently abroad inspecting the aircraft with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority". It then said that a new interview date would be advised.

Seems rather unprofessional to postpone giving no new dates at such short notice.

Does anyone have an update, or any indication of their proposed new interview date.

Looks like some complete nonsense. If you wanted a 747, there are plenty of places to get them that would be much easier than Iran. Those aircraft are out of service for a reason - they probably have something seriously wrong with them that can't be fixed because they can't get the parts.

The only website they have is a facebook page, whose main purpose seems to be luring in women. For what purpose I don't know, but it seems their only concern is interviewing female cabin crew and they have no interest in hiring operations staff, pilots, airport workers, maintenance staff etc.

The facebook page has a photoshopped 747 (better than most actual liveries, to be fair) but there is no sign of any real aircraft and mostly just pictures of random aircraft from the internet. The "route map" is something I could create myself in about 30 seconds as follows:

http://www.gcmap.com/mapui?P=LOS-CAN,+LOS-DXB,+LOS-LON,+LOS-SFO

Probably, this is a scam for getting either money or sex from women and no such airline exists or ever will exist. It's just a facebook page.

No, there is a picture of a plain white 747 in a hanger with its engine cowls open. All they have is a website with some text and a few pictures that they found on google. It looks like the purpose is to lure in women that think they are going to a cabin crew interview.

Well, it certainly looks like it is a real airplane. Incredible.

I am very excited how this whole situation will turn out.

Btw, is it normal to acquire or to lease a aircraft if the airline is "under certification" (according to their facebook)? I don´t know what they exactly mean by this but I guess it means they currently can´t fly.

They have many reviews on their Facebook page already despite the fact they have not yet flown. They also seem more obsessed with 747's, posting Microsoft flight simulator screenshots on their page rather than creating a viable business that can make money. The owner also is posting photos him flying his own single engined private aircraft to the Facebook page! The whole thing despite the fact they do have a plane painted seems destined to fail
