Whats more is that in recent years, easyJet have been transferring A319's over to easyJet Switzerland as and when they are no longer required by
U2.

U2 to easyJet Swiss over the last 3 years:

G-EZGM 09 OCT 2014
G-EZGN 29 DEC 2014
G-EZGP 20 JAN 2015
G-EZGL 02 JUN 2015
Then, the following A319's were transferred to Allegiant:

However, they have also transferred a few A320's across to their Swiss counterparts. In fact, the entire easyJet Swiss fleet comprises of aircraft that originated at
U2.
Quoting gilesdavies (Reply 2): I think easyJet will watch and see how this goes for these airlines and in time might see them ordering a small sub-fleet of A321's for the LGW operations. |
U2 have been researching the option of A321's for years and even trialled out some former
BA ones before getting rid of them to various other airlines (Monarch taking 3 of them).
