Last evening, (June21) I noticed a larger aircraft (A320 or larger) flying over my house just east of YYZ in a southwest direction, at what I would estimate at least 15000 ft.
Obviously nothing odd about that, but the plane was being escorted by two much smaller planes, one on the left in very tight formation with the larger, while the smaller plane on the right was noticeably further back and out from the wings.
I have searched the news and attempted flight tracking software and found nothing, so I thought I would throw the question out to the netters to see if there is an answer as to what was going on?

Military tanker? Could be one of your CC-150s.

Could be an air-to-air photoshoot, maybe AC on the 787 or even the CSeries?

not sure if you know if they were jets for sure or not but this past weekend was an airport at YHM you might have been
