Can someone translate what they are saying. I was surprised they did not grab the cat sooner but my guess is it was a stray and not their personal cat and maybe were a little more resistant to get involved. Interesting video. Enjoyed it.

Anyone know the plane model?

1. Had they tried to grab the cat in flight it would have likely fallen off to its death.

2. The article says that the cat is the unofficial mascot of the local flying club.

Proper preflight inflight inspection clearly was not observed. The cat/flight intsructor was clearly chewing out the pilot for the error.

Well, now we know how scared stowaways might get once their plane takes off.

Yay, free scratch marks, come and get yours. Op, nice video, thanks for sharing.

The wing is hollow. So the cat had support from the bottom of the wing. Its unsafe exposure only came from when it moved to the opening.
Most likely the wind blowing by the opening probably kept the cat from jumping.

Okie

I wonder if they adopted the cat or something. It's a cute cat, and I think it'd make a good mascot if taken in. And of course, kept out of trouble. None of the articles mentioned it.

That's a superb video. The cat looked none the worse for the ride. Not many of her peers will have had such an experience.

Maybe next time he'll spend a little more time on his walk around. Glad it turned out alright for the cat and it stayed put until they landed.

When? At the end? Well she points out to the cat, adding they did took it along during the flight.

Exactly. He would probably have panicked or something alike while he remained rather calm at its place.

They way they reacted it was if the cat commonly flies with them. There was no "oh crap!" looks in either's eyes.

You obviously have never tried to grab a freaked out cat before. Go try it and see how it goes!

Is that even possible   ?

To clarify: for those that have never lived around cats, most days, they really seem to relish blatant disregard for safety, with the cool haughtiness only a cat could pull off. Yet time after time, they survive.

Actually the title is wrong. The cat was not ON the wing, the cat was INSIDE the wing. If said cat had been ON the wing it would have been blown off on takeoff by the wind flowing over the wing.

That was cute, and the pilots flying was really enjoyable to watch, very calm and confident.

As a cat owner for many years I'd say my inclination would be to not interfere with it but to keep an eye on it and land ASAP, which the guy did. Oddly the woman seems pretty much oblivious.

I'd probably do the same, but I'd be freaking out about it if it was my cat. I love cats but let's face it - they're wild and dumb. Reaching up to pull the cat down might scare it enough to jump, but he/she might just jump anyway for no reason any human would understand.

Basically it's just a game of roulette no matter what you do. Luckily they bet on the right color.

Cat loves to sleep and warm inside anywhere. Cat doesn't know it's a plane. LOL! Cat got scared when start engine running. What a poor cat! LOL Lucky cat didn't jump off when flying. If a cat would plunge on earth to death.

Thanks for posting, that was awesome. Glad the cat turned out ok, but I love the look on his/her face when she/he gets to the wing opening.

Cats are clever, but are forever getting themselves into trouble. For some reason, ours loves to jump off the top of the kitchen cabinets after a snooze and on top of a open door, forever getting himself stuck...

From the article:

"His passenger seems very amused by the whole event and after they land she cracks up as the pilot tries to safely remove the animal. But this cat is too much of a daredevil to need assistance and hops off on her own."

And promptly seeks a litter box.

OP.. thanks for sharing.

Firstly, the pilot did an excellent job.

Secondly, the job of the pilot is to fly the plane.

Thirdly, sweet little kitty can turn very nasty.

If grabbed, the result could have been a bundle of fury in the cockpit.

IMO, they played it dead right.

Poor cat, it was obviously terrified, pilot did a good job, his passenger doesn't seem to possess any compassion for
animals.
